Character Specific Rules:

1. Locked Muse: Cullen is a "locked muse." In order to write with him, you have to be actively writing with either one of the female or non-binary muses on here or over on @mournrook. If you're not, you're going to be told no when requesting Cullen. Cullen is also plotting only. If you want to write with him and you meet the first requirement, then you have to reach out to plot. I will delete all random memes directed at him if we haven't had any sort of discussion.

2. No Excuses: Cullen is a complicated character who is both a victim of abuse and an abuser. Yes, you can be both. We're not going to make excuses for his actions here. Just because he was severely traumatized at Kinloch does not mean that he had the right to watch and participate in the abuse of mages in Kirkwall. I know this and I hope you know this. Cullen is aware of this and it's a huge reason why he leaves the Templars, quits the lyrium, and seeks redemption through his work with the Inquisition. I will block anyone who tries to excuse his actions and / or woobify him. Don't do it.

3. On Romance: Even in cases of Inquisitors, romance is a low priority on this man's list. He's suffering through drug withdrawals, facing his PTSD, and dealing with helping to save the world ( during the Inquisition era ). Any romance with this man will be extremely slow burn because a ) he feels like he doesn't deserve happiness after what he did in Kirkwall and b ) he doesn't want to inflict his issues onto anyone else. If your character is a mage, it's going to be even harder for a romance to happen. Not impossible, but this man has a lot of prejudices and trauma surrounding mages that he's dealing with while actively going through withdrawals from drug addiction.
